Christina N. Gongaware
Christina is an associate attorney in the Pittsburgh Office where she uses her skills as a litigator and legal writer to advocate for taxpayers both in and out of the courtroom.
Prior to joining Siegel Jennings, Christina served as an Assistant District Attorney in Westmoreland County. She served as a supervisor in the child abuse and sexual assault unit, ensuring that victims’ rights were protected and that resolutions were reached in a fair and judicious manner. She was also charged with litigating a wide variety of cases, from misdemeanors to homicides. This included conducting preliminary hearings, suppression hearings, non-jury trials, and jury trials. At trial, she successfully argued for guilty verdicts in numerous cases, including serious felony matters. She also handled various appellate matters, including post-conviction issues, before the Pennsylvania Superior Court and Pennsylvania Supreme Court.
Prior to her work in the District Attorney’s Office, she served as a judicial law clerk for Judge Rita Donovan Hathaway in Westmoreland County, where she researched and drafted judicial Opinions and legal memoranda regarding a wide range of legal issues.
